We got our Chion from our local hs a few years ago..on her form they stated she was untrainable and barked a lot...but two years later she is the sweetest dog I have ever had, she is sweet, loving, and she loves people. Ironically, she is attatched to both my fiancee and I. The only little quirk is that she is picky about food, but otherwise easy to train. Potty training was a little work, but she hasn't had an accident in a while. And she is the BIGGEST baby I have had. She loves attention and knows how to get our attention in varying creative ways. She is hands down the best dog I have ever had.

I have a young ball python named Patch. Ball pythons are chubby snakes; short and fat and generally quite slow when moving, so they are not likely to scare someone who is afraid of snakes. They are incredibly strong creatures with over 77% of their entire bodies consisting of pure muscle, so they will squeeze very tightly and effortlessly to anything supporting them. Ball pythons often scare their new owners when they refuse to eat for months at a time. This is simply because they are sensitive creatures and they become shy and reclusive when introduced to a new situation. It may take your python a full year to become accustomed to your home, and so he will be quite reluctant to eat. Very seldom will a reptile eat when shedding, so you can speed up the shed by warm baths every couple of days until the snake finally gets rid of his skin. It is always better to feed several small prey items rather than one large one. I suggest offering a live pinky mouse every to every other day. If the snake eats it, he eats it. If not, it can wait a day or two. This is the best way for a snake to eat, as it does wonders for their digestive tract. Studies show that snakes fed this way can top fifty years or more, and even in some cases, outlive their owners! A larger snake can be fed a larger mouse, or more pinkies. Breeding colonies of mice is a great way to get hundreds of mice for under ten dollars, and to keep them for years to come. Ball pythons are extremely sensitive to drastic temperature change, and they can slowly freeze to death even at room temperature! Remember, your body makes heat on its own, but snakes need their environment to make heat for them. This is what "cold-blooded" really means. Have you ever noticed your snake crawling towards appliances, heaters, warm food, or even towards you? They can "see" warm places, and they like to be near them to regulate body temperature. A cold snake will quickly wander to the warmest place it sees to keep itself alive. That's why it's a good idea to turn on a small heater and put a towel next to it whenever your snake gets loose. You can check the towel every couple of hours to see if your buddy is sleeping underneath it. If you let a mouse crawl on the towel, your snake will also be attracted to the tasty smell.

Hi, I have a baby ball python named Chico. He is a little over two months. I do handle him a lot and I found out that that does cause a refusal to eat with ball pythons. I usually take him with me when I go places. Is that unhealthy for him?
The first time I fed him a fuzzy, he ate it. My local pet store did not have any live fuzzies so I had to buy a frozen one. I thawed it out and gave it to him but he will not eat it.
Also, I feel like it's time for him to shed, but he isn't. I am worried his tank is not humid enough. Help?

When my kittens were found everyone assumed they were brother and sister. My Mercy was a Tortoise Shell. The other cat I believe was a Calico. They mated and had a litter. I believe I am a victim of a prank. When my former so called friends and certain relative that married into a family that married relatives. They were trying to make me eat my words. I gave the whole family away. These evil people were looking for any negative thing on me. They believe I favord my tabby mostly white. I knew my Mercy was a beautiful cat that acted lady like. Her manners were beautiful. She got the boot because we all assume she mated with her brother. PLEASE tell me Tortoise SHell cats are a different breed. How do I get my baby back.

I believe a prank was played on me. A man in the park said his big dog would eat these two kittens. People I know believe I need more responsibility. Well two little kitties were rescued by me ready or not. They are three years old. Mercy a beautiful girl that was very girly and a Tortoise Shell. She was born with a cross on her forehead. When she was found everyone believe and I that she got pregnant by her brother. Well I gave the whole family away. I went back for her. I was told she came down with the ringworms. I said get my girl well and spay her. Too many misunderstandings. She was adopted out my heart went too. She is my daughter that was smart and God fearing. She gave birth too young but wanted my assurance. My cats taught me well. I cry some times. I understand she has a good home. I hope she never forgets me. Her broo was six and one died. The shelter gave me the boy back. They said he isn't social like me. Mercy personality showed that she had charisma and class. My gem got away. She shined like diamonds. Life is the best teacher. My baby is gone. She experienced too much to fast. I love you girl. May Jesus richly bless you. I am sorry that I let you get away. Bread of Heaven shine on my Mercy girl. Pray that I will see her again.

We just adopted a Mastiff/Great Dane mix.we did a 2 week trial time and he weighed 92 pounds and 2 weeks later he is 96 pounds. He is only a year and a half old. He has a couple things we need to work on like barking and protecting us from those mean killer bunnies and squirrels in our back yard. He chases them with me attached! He is a wonderful addition to our family.
