I have a hamster named Emily (and other rodents).
I was reading some comments and saw one where a person was thinking of releasing their hamster into the wild. Im not trying to be mean, but you should NEVER release a hamster (or most animals that have been raised in captivity for that matter)into the wild. It will not know how to defend itself, find food, or basically it will not survive. If you can no longer keep your hamster, find a friend, pet shop, or breeder who will be willing to keep your hamster.

I have a cockatoo and he is very "attention wanting" Most people say that they are sweet kind natured birds but my cockatoo IS NOT!! Unless you hold him every second of the day he can get very grumpy and bite. He definitly has an attitude. The chewing part is correct, my bird has got to be immortal, he has eaten everything in the book that will kill a bird and hes still living. He has gotten a hold of cigerettes, plant fertilizer, permenent markers, elecrtrical wires, you name hes eaten it. He also has a very strange behavioral problem, he hates men, he will only go to women. When we first had him he loved my father to death and wouldnt let anyone touch him. It lasted all of about a week. He also likes trying to climb the lamp and he likes licking the light bulb when its like really hot, is this strange?

Chinchillia are great pets, but only if you know what you can and can not do with one. They need a special diet and weekly dust baths. They need lots of room, so for a cage plan on lots of space. I have had my chinchilla for over 4 years, & I love it very much. If I had I known everything I know now, I might have thought harder. They also live for 15 + years. They are a great animal to have but understand that they require care.

I just set up a 55 gal community tank with 3 opaline gouramis, 3 rosy barbs, 4 serpae tetras, 7 zebra danios, 4 leopard corydoras, and 2 clown plecos. I started with 2 gouramis but the one was very agressive with the other, though not to the other species. I added 1 more and everything is great now. They definitely are cool fish.

ive had a silver arowana for about 4 months or so. i started feeding him wax worms that i had for my gecko and moved him onto shelled shrimp. hes never had live fish under my care and as such has never developed an intolerance to any fish. hes currently around 8" and shares his 100 gallon home with several species of fish including neon tetras. it seems as long as u never feed them live fish and they are raised with live fish they dont seem to be predatory. a good amount of food curbs this and this can be applied to fish such as smaller sharks as well. so next time ur looking for something a bit bright experiment with some small fish in a nice number and see if they stay. u might be surprised. they are also great at grabbing those little particals of food that escape the arowanas jaws.

Hi my name is Jessica, Jessica is also my hamsters name. My hamster can sleep on my head at night and not move (i love it when she does that, clean my teeth and then it gets sparkly (i love shiny teeth). One time i took Jessica to the store and she ran everywhere until i called her name. I was all "JESSICA!" then she came right to me. i trained her to come when i called her name and get her food out of the bag (when she is in her cage) when she is hungry. She keeps biting my nose and i think its cuz i smell her. She sometimes cleans her cage. I think she eats sawdust cuz one time i came home and none were there and she was really fat. I love my hammie. love always,
jessica and jessica (ps jessica says BYE)

Hi, I am Brooke and I am 13 years old and I just got a teddy bear hamster 2 weeks ago. Her name is Charlotte and she is doing very well. She has not been sick yet. I have an exersise wheel in her cage and i put her in the ball at least every other day. I also have a rat and two mice. Charlotte gets alone with one of the mice and I can put them in the same ball! But the other mouse and rat both dont get along with any other ones. I had a hamster named Jackie that ran down the steps in her ball! The ball broke and we couldnt find her, but a few hours later we found her under a box!!

I am Brooke i am 13 and have two mice. They are both male and i used to have then in the same cage until the big one bit the small one on the foot! It started bleeding and bled for a long time. I thought it was best to seperate them. Ever since then they have both had better attitudes and dont nip at me when I reach into the cage to pick them up. So I think it is best to separate the males and not have two together especially when one is much bigger!
